The Parco del Sasso, situated right along the route of the Ciclovia del Sole cycle route, is an oasis of tranquillity for cyclists travelling along this route, for local residents and for anyone wishing to enjoy a new, peaceful and quiet green space – ideal for taking a break and immersing oneself in nature.
Adjacent to the IAT-R Pianura Bolognese office (Tourist Information and Welcome Centre), the park acts as a link between the town and the countryside; it is easily accessible, allowing visitors to admire the crops, the irrigation ditches and the canals that run through it. One of the park’s main attractions is the “Statue of Liberty” sculpture, a part of a Carnival float created by the “I Gufi” association (MCP – Metropolitana Culturale Persicetana). This work is not only a point of artistic interest but also a cultural one, highlighting the link between the town and local traditions.
