Trattoria Dal Piccolo

Trattoria Dal Piccolo

9 Via Guardia Nazionale, 40017 San Giovanni in Persiceto, Bologna
Directions

Fresh, handmade pasta: tagliatelle, passatelli, lasagne and tortellini, made with care and dedication by our pasta-makers, a symbol of Bolognese culinary tradition.

Trattoria dal Piccolo opened in 2012. In 2014, it moved to its current premises following a terrible fire, which rendered the original premises unusable for over a year. We are a village trattoria serving traditional Bolognese cuisine. We love sfoglia and, more generally, all traditional dishes. We prepare all our ingredients ourselves: to put it simply, we make everything in-house, from first courses and main courses right through to desserts (another of our specialities). In the kitchen, we have a close-knit team of young apprentices to Giovanna, our long-standing chef, who is now retired but still helps us prepare the pasta and shares valuable advice on traditional cooking methods. Our young team enables us to offer some more modern dishes to satisfy even the most contemporary palates. We’d love to carry tradition into the future. The dining room is still filled with the cheerfulness of Leopoldo, who for years delighted our guests with service that was, to say the least, theatrical. You’ll find us on Via Guardia Nazionale in San Giovanni in Persiceto every day for lunch, and on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. Massimiliano Bagni (il Piccolo)
