{"id":2380,"date":"2026-09-21T09:46:58","date_gmt":"2026-09-21T08:46:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/persiceto.uncoover.com\/event\/mitico-mistico-mistero\/"},"modified":"2026-09-21T09:46:58","modified_gmt":"2026-09-21T08:46:58","slug":"mitico-mistico-mistero-2026-10-23","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/persiceto.uncoover.com\/en\/event\/mitico-mistico-mistero-2026-10-23\/","title":{"rendered":"Legendary, Mystical, Mysterious"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>\u201cLegendary, Mystical, Mysterious\u201d \u2013 The many faces of a saint named Francis<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An exhibition as part of the ninth edition of the \u201cFestival of Religions: Paths to Encounter\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>On display are sculptures and graphic works by <strong>Claudio Nicoli<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The opening will be attended by Daniela Pronesti, art critic, art historian and editor of the magazine <em>Tuscany<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn creating the works on display, I drew inspiration from the writings of Franco Cardini and the *Vita prima* written by Tommaso da Celano, the biographer closest to Francis.\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>I have deliberately sought to avoid falling into the trap of presenting a devotional and hagiographic portrait of the \u2018Poverello\u2019, whilst being fully aware that I am departing from the most widespread and beloved version of Saint Francis.<\/p>\n<p>On this artistic journey of mine, I have discovered a new character, one who is deeply human and who, through his faith in Christ, possesses immense tenacity and consistency.<\/p>\n<p>I also drew on my own personal impressions following my numerous visits to the Franciscan community at La Verna between 2007 and 2008, when I was commissioned to design the decoration for the glass display case containing the habit bearing the stigmata.<\/p>\n<p>This work, crafted from silver-plated bronze, was unveiled and blessed as an official relic by Monsignor Rodolfo Cetoloni, then Bishop of Arezzo, and is currently on display in the chapel of the sanctuary church.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dThe original terracotta panels are on display.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Claudio Nicoli<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udd52The exhibition is open at the following times:<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday to Saturday | 4pm\u20137pm<\/p>\n<p>Sunday | 10am \u2013 1.00pm and 4.00pm \u2013 7.00pm<\/p>\n<p>Closed on Mondays<\/p>\n<p><strong>Free admission<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>For further information:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/festivalreligionipersiceto\/?locale=it_IT\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Mitico Mistico Mistero&#8221; &#8211; I tanti volti di un Santo di nome Francesco Mostra nell&#8217;ambito della nona edizione del &#8220;Festival delle Religioni: vie d&#8217;incontro&#8221;.
